What is a quadcopter?
Quadcopter, also known as quadcopter, quadrotor helicopter, referred to as quadcopter or quadcopter. This quadcopter is a multi-rotor aircraft. The four propellers of a quadcopter are simple mechanisms directly connected to the motors. The cross-shaped layout allows the aircraft to obtain the force to rotate the body by changing the motor speed, thereby adjusting its attitude. Specific technical details are described in "Basic Movement Principles". Because of its inherent complexity, there has never been a large-scale commercial quadcopter in history. In recent years, thanks to the development of microelectromechanical control technology, stable quadcopters have received widespread attention, and their application prospects are very promising. Groupronics already has mature four-axis flight development solutions.
A quadcopter is a system with 6 degrees of freedom in space (translation and rotation along three coordinate axes), but only 4 degrees of control (the speed of four motors), so it is called underactuated. System (a complete drive system is only available when the degree of freedom of control is equal to the degree of freedom of movement). But for the attitude control itself (rotating actions along three coordinate axes), it is indeed fully driven. Compared with helicopters, quadcopters can achieve fewer flying postures, but basic forward, backward, translation and other states can be achieved. However, the mechanical structure of a quadcopter is far simpler than that of a helicopter, and the cost of maintenance and replacement is also very small. This gives the quadcopter a greater application advantage than a helicopter.
The small quadcopter can freely hover and fly in space. Move freely with great flexibility. In addition, because of its simple structure and good mechanical stability, it is low cost and highly cost-effective. The main applications are toys, model aircraft, and aerial photography, and new applications are also being continuously expanded.
